Turn your WordPress blogroll into a Google CSE

Statue of “The Seeker”Today I released an updated version of the Libraries Interact - Aussie Library Blogs page. The page, and associated Google CSE is generated using a plugin that I’ve created with the assistance of the kind folks at the Libraries Interact website. You can read more about the plugin by visiting the Blogroll to Google CSE project page on my blog.

Hopefully soon the plugin will be hosted on the WordPress website.

It is an exciting, and yet nervous time, for me as the first WordPress plugin that I’ve ever written is now on a publicly available website. It’s been a process that has taken a couple of months of spare time, from the initial planning stages through the various closed beta releases and now having it in production environment.

I hope that it proves useful to the community at the Libraries Interact website, and once hosted at the WordPress website it may prove to be useful to others as well.

The photo of “The Seeker” was uploaded to the stock.xchng website by Luann Johnson and found using the everystockphoto search engine.
